AISLING MCDONOUGH

Aisling McDonough is a public policy professional with fourteen years of experience in the U.S. House of Representatives, the Senate, and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services. She currently serves as a consultant to Stanton Park Group, a premier government affairs and strategic advisory firm.

From 2022 to 2025, Aisling served as Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Anna G. Eshoo (D-CA), a leader in health policy and technology and telecommunications policy as the representative of Silicon Valley. Prior to becoming Chief of Staff, Aisling served as Senior Health Policy Advisor to Representative Eshoo and Health Policy Coordinator for the Energy and Commerce Committee. While working in the House of Representatives, Aisling played a key role in the creation of Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) and the drafting of the FDA User Fee Reauthorization Act of 2022. She also worked on the passage of Medicare drug price negotiation, the ban on surprise billing, and provisions to improve the nation’s biosecurity.

​From 2017 to 2019, Aisling was the Health Legislative Assistant to Senator Brian Schatz (D-HI) where she led efforts to increase access to telehealth in
Medicare. From 2010 to 2017, she worked at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services at the Department of Health and Human Services. At CMS, Aisling specialized in prepping federal witnesses for Congressional testimony and responding to Congressional oversight.

Recognized for her public policy expertise, Aisling has spoken at panels hosted by the ERISA Industry Committee, American Society of Gene & Cell Therapy, the Alliance for Regenerative Medicine, and the National Health Council. In 2021, she won the RareVoice Award from the EveryLife Foundation.
Aisling is a graduate of the University of Maryland where she earned a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Public Policy.
